Featuring Institute of Architects Pakistan in the “Architecture in the Commonwealth” CAA Publication
By: Sahar Saqlain: Commonwealth Association of Architects is an organization for national and regional institutes, representing architects in Commonwealth countries. There are 06 Member Organizations (MO) from Asia representing architects from Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Singapore and Srilanka at the CAA.
The MO from the Asian Region were represented at the CAA this year by Ar. Kalim A. Siddiqui – Vice President CAA Asia Region. This year in 2015, the CAA marked the 50th Anniversary of its founding in 1965. Ar. Kalim Siddiqui contributed for the commemorative book “Architecture in the Commonwealth” by giving a brief introduction of all the Member Organizations from the Asia region including Institute of Architects Pakistan (IAP).
The book was presented to the President IAP and the Chairmen of all IAP Chapters by Ar. Rukshan Widyalankara, President Commonwealth Association of Architects during the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) roundtable summit on Post – Disaster Reconstruction in Nepal held from August 2nd to 3rd, 2015 in Islamabad.
